The FPD Halftime 2021

That’s right...it’s halftime in 2021. Here we are in July amid Hurricane season that started with a Disney-named storm that couldn’t decide if it wanted to be a Tropical Storm or a Hurricane. A lot happened over the past 6 months, so our team wanted to pause and share some of our wins over the first half of the year. 

Part of the culture at Field Pros Direct is not only looking forward to constantly improve and innovate, but to taking time and recognize what we’ve accomplished. As we all know, it’s easy to focus on the things we haven’t completed yet, but it’s equally important to remember what we’ve done to get where we are today. 


Big Announcements


Acquisitions

As some of you may have already heard, on March 2, 2021, Field Pros Direct acquired Bridgewater Group, Inc., a 25+ year-old independent adjusting company specializing in third-party administration (TPA) claims while servicing both Domestic and London-based insurance companies. Bridgewater Group’s strengths complemented ours, including the importance of family-like culture. Over the past few months, both teams have been working together diligently to get to know each other while maintaining service standards and also expanding opportunities for our adjusters and Carrier Partners. 


New Team Members

This year we made some very strategic add-ons to our family. Jodi Cruz joined the FPD-family as Program Manager of Specialty Operations. Jodi’s love for Disney and streamlining processes made her a great fit for the team. Like most of us, Jodi wears many hats so you may see her in Carrier meetings or on your caller ID to ask about deployment opportunities. Connect with Jodi on Linkedin

As recently as this month, we welcome another special team member. Brian O’Neill joined the family as Director of Claims Operations and is working as a bridge (no pun intended) between the Bridgewater Claims Operations and Field Pros Direct Claims Operations. Team Advancements

While we focus on strategically hiring new team members, we also focus on promoting from within whenever possible. Here are some of the recent advancements. 

  • Savannah Gray was promoted to Customer Service Lead - Savannah has done an amazing job leading our customer service team while helping innovate how we handle inquiries from adjusters, policyholders and Carriers so that we can ensure the best customer experience.   • John Darragh was promoted to Head of Sales - John has a knack for both Sales and Operations, which made this a very organic promotion. He was trying to retire on us, but he couldn’t resist the exciting (and special) things we’re doing here. Connect with John on Linkedin.

  • Ally Momot was promoted to Director of Marketing & Project Management - Despite joining our team right before the world shut down, Ally has handled various areas of our marketing and operations to help create a unique experience for our team, Carrier Partners and Adjusters. Just for Fun

Because we like to have fun, as you may have heard in our Team Spotlight Series, here are some fun work and non-work related facts that our team shared:

  • We welcomed 2 FPD babies into the world, Eleanor Ann Lalomia (Manzo) and Hardy Kate Hufham. 

  • Our team has a very eclectic mix of Birthday memes and GIFs to share when we announce team birthdays

  • Neil Atkins and his family broke ground on their brand new house! Be sure to contact Neil for some fun construction stories (if you dare). 

  • We even hosted a couple unique virtual happy hours with our Carrier partners and industry friends thanks to Mary Anne Medina and team. We had Jim Cantore on one and celebrated Mardi Gras on another. 


Keeping it Simple for Carrier Partners

Our goal is to not only help Carrier partners accomplish their efficiency goals, but to help them simplify in the process. One way we do this is by providing data insights to help our team and Carrier partners make informed decisions about their business. Here are some noteworthy stats:

  • 13% improvement on scope related items for a New York based Carrier Partner

  • 75% NPS score rated by insureds related to claims we’ve handled for a Tampa-based Carrier Partner


Noteworthy Industry Trends

We all know that the ripple effects of the pandemic has created a shift in priorities for both Carriers and Adjusters. A couple trends we’ve noticed are related to, you guessed it...virtual adjusting.


How Carriers are Using Virtual Adjusting to Test out IA Firms

Over the past 6 months we’ve seen a steady increase in the use of virtual adjusters within Field Pros Direct. What we noticed is that Carriers prefer to test out virtual adjusting in small quantities to start. This can give them a feel for how efficient IA Firms, like Field Pros Direct, operate. By starting small they don’t sacrifice a large financial investment and can easily scale up if they like how claims are being handled. 


An Increase in Tools to Help Manage Claims Virtually

Matt Cronican also noticed an increase in the technological tools to assist with claims. These range from roof diagrams, aerial imagery, AI platforms that Insured's and Adjusters can use in the field. These tools connect with our Field App which we’ve also noticed helps streamline the reporting process for adjusters even more. 

The FPD Network Continues to Grow!


Our Adjuster Conference Registration Grew by 85%

In April we hosted our 2nd annual virtual conference and grew registration by 85%. That just means that more adjusters were able to benefit from our culture of constant improvement and learn new things. It was a great turnout, and we look forward to (hopefully) seeing everyone in-person for the next event 


New Opportunities for a New Kind of Adjuster Network.

Over the past 6 months the company has added new lines of business for adjusters, including Flood, Liability, Commercial and more. Our goal is to provide a culture for adjusters that’s unlike anything else in the industry. A large number of team members were adjusters in the past, so we lean on their experience and listening to our adjusters to help us improve. 

  • We’ve paid adjusters on-time (every 2 weeks) for the past 4 years

  • 4.75 stars - the average rating of our Field Adjusters

  • 75% of our adjusters would refer us

  • 60% increase of adjusters paid in 2021 (and more to come)

Nationwide Coverage Continues to Expand

Grow in Additional Lines of Claims, including Commercial Property and More

Our Carrier Partnerships have grown steadily this year, with an emphasis on growth in new lines of business. Between working with Bridgewater Group to provide additional services, we also had great success in the Commercial Property line as we onboard over 3 Carrier Partners to help them streamline their commercial property claims.

It may not have been the equivalent to The Weekend’s performance at Super Bowl LV, but that’s a wrap for the 1st half of 2021.
