Field Pros Direct Awarded #3881 On The 2023 Inc. 5000 Fastest-growing Private Companies for 3rd Year in a Row.

Inc. Magazine revealed on August 16, 2023 that Field Pros Direct, an FPD Solutions Company, made the annual Inc. 5000 list again this year! Ranking 3,881 of 5,000 of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States, we are honored to join this prestigious list, along with past winners like Microsoft, Patagonia, Chobani and other 2023 honorees.

"I am deeply grateful and humbled by the incredible support and hard work of our team, carrier partners, and adjusters that have led us to win the prestigious INC 5000 award.” Matt Anderson, CEO. “Our purpose of empowering the insurance industry with simplicity and thoughtfulness has been our guiding light. “Running a business has only gotten harder since the end of the pandemic,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “To make the Inc. 5000—with the fast growth that requires—is truly an accomplishment. Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that are building our future.”

Field Pros Direct acquires Dineley Claims Services, expanding claim offerings in the northeast

Field Pros Direct acquires Dineley Claims Services, expanding claim offerings in the northeast

Atlanta, GA., May 10, 2022 - Field Pros Direct, a tech-enabled claims service provider founded on simplifying the claims process, announced the acquisition of Dineley Claims Services. This acquisition brings together Field Pros Direct’s technology-based claims solutions and Dineley Claims Service’s 20+ years of adjusting expertise to expand both Company’s claims coverage areas and insurance service lines.

With this new relationship comes opportunities for both Companies to leverage their adjusting synergies to strengthen their claims offerings for  stakeholders and increase their footprint in the northeast and nationwide. For Insurance Carriers and MGA’s, this will expand coverage area in the northeast related to CAT and Daily Claims services. For adjusters and team members, this offers additional opportunities for claims assignments and professional growth.

“Dineley has a reputation of providing industry leading claims results and experiences, especially in the Northeast” stated Matt Anderson, CEO/Founder of Field Pros Direct. “The Northeast U.S. is a key area of growth for our family of companies. Dineley’s commitment to greatness and similar culture, made this acquisition align well for both Company’s growth plans”

Dineley Claims Services specializes in property and commercial claims, with a heavy focus on complex claims handling. In addition, they also handle a full array of personal and commercial casualty claims. Anderson stated “Both Bridgewater Group [a Field pros Direct Company] and Field Pros Direct are noticing an increasing demand for complex claims handling.”

“With Dineley’s deep complex claims handling expertise and our nationwide coverage, this relationship will provide our combined Carrier partners even more opportunity to better service their policyholders.” continued Anderson.

Our Virtual Adjuster Conference is back!

The Field Pros Direct Virtual Adjuster Conference is back again, for the 3rd year, on May 2-6, 2022. We carefully considered an in-person even this year, but ultimately decided to move forward with a virtual conference instead. Adjusters loved that they could join from their homes and didn’t have to worry about travel. As one attendee stated

“Honestly, I loved it. I didn't have to be concerned about Covid, travel, long drives or a flight, booking hotels, finding meals... and I met enthusiastic professionals who wished to help me better succeed.” - 2021 Attendee

Field Pros Direct is pleased to welcome Hunter Moss as he assumes the role of President and COO.

Field Pros Direct is pleased to welcome Hunter Moss as he assumes the role of President and COO.

We are excited to share some great news in the start of this year as we welcome Hunter Moss as President and COO. Moss assumed this position in December 2021 and will report to Matt Anderson, Founder and CEO of Field Pros Direct.

Hunter has been involved in the insurance industry for nearly 30 years, and has extensive industry experience in global claims, MGA, reinsurance, and the carrier space. Hunter most recently served as CEO of an MGA and founded AI Inspections, a market leader in artificial intelligence technology for premium audits, loss control, inspections, and claims automation. Hunter brings a thorough understanding of technology and operations, as well as successful corporate growth initiatives. Throughout his career, Hunter has created and successfully managed TPAs and A.M. Best A rated insurance companies. He has also led several MGAs through transformational growth phases.

“I was extremely impressed by Hunter’s thoughtful approach to simplifying complex problems around gathering and merging data in a meaningful way through AI Inspections”  said CEO of Field Pros Direct, Matt Anderson.

Anderson continues “Hunter’s experience in the claims ecosystem and the success he’s had in growing teams will allow Field Pros Direct and Bridgewater Group, LLC. to better understand the vision and needs of our clients.”

“I feel that FPD's strong culture, top quality talent, and focus on tech-driven claims solutions is unique in our industry” states Moss. “Field Pros Direct has an unequaled claims model and platform. I feel truly fortunate for the opportunity to help further nurture a continued focus on innovative tech claims solutions for our clients and adjusters.”

Hunter will work alongside Matt Anderson and the rest of the leadership team with plans to help drive strategic operational initiatives for future growth of the company and the portfolio. “Hunter is similarly dedicated to servant leadership, which is incredibly important to the culture we’ve cultivated here. This is one of the reasons why I think he is an excellent fit for our team” continued Matt Anderson.

Field Pros Direct also announced that this expansion of the leadership team will come with an acquisition of AI Inspections. This deal will be the company’s second acquisition in the last year, the first being the acquisition of 25-year-old third party administration company Bridgewater Group, LLC. in March 2021. This AI Inspection acquisition further positions Field Pros Direct as a visionary in the claims industry.

“We continue to reinvest and reinvent the claims process as we pursue our mission and purpose of bringing empowerment and innovation to the insurance industry” Anderson stated. “This year is set to be an exciting year for our team, Clients, and adjusters as we work towards exciting new offerings for 2022”

FPD Halftime Report 2021

FPD Halftime Report 2021

The FPD Halftime 2021

That’s right...it’s halftime in 2021. Here we are in July amid Hurricane season that started with a Disney-named storm that couldn’t decide if it wanted to be a Tropical Storm or a Hurricane. A lot happend over the past 6 months, so our team wanted to pause and share some of our wins over the first half of the year.

Part of the culture at Field Pros Direct is not only looking forward to constantly improve and innovate, but to taking time and recognize what we’ve accomplished. As we all know, it’s easy to focus on the things we haven’t completed yet, but it’s equally important to remember what we’ve done to get where we are today.

Team Spotlight: Tara Nachreiner

Our team spotlight for this month is the one and only Tara Nachreiner, Field Pros Direct’s Office Manager. During this session of our Team Spotlight Q&A session, we will introduce you to Tara Nachreiner on a personal level and take a peek into her professional journey with Field Pros Direct.

Tara has been with us at Field Pros Direct (FPD) for 3 years now. Join us on this month’s edition of the Team Spotlight series as we get to know Tara better.

What is your role at Field Pros Direct?

My official role is that of an Office Manager. I mainly work with one of our larger accounts that starts right from when we receive assignments. I start by assigning claims to matched field adjusters all the way to closure of the claims in Xactanalysis and making sure we meet all our KPIs and milestones throughout this process. Additionally, I work closely with Bonnie Winters, Savannah Gray, and the Customer Success team.

What does an average day look like for you during regular as well as CAT season?

Every day begins with a nice fresh cup of coffee for me and the luxury of working from my home office! My labrador, Bella, joins me in my routine as she plops herself next to my feet. There is a lot of multitasking involved. A major part of my day goes into replying to emails coming from carriers, field adjusters, and desk adjusters on statuses, requests for supplements, as well as reinspection requests. I also work closely with reviewers, the customer care team, and FPD management to keep the claims moving. I assign a lot of new claims to the field and I speak to adjusters over the phone throughout the day.

During CAT season, all of this increases tenfold, but my main priority during CAT season is deployment. This includes getting the adjusters where they are ready to be deployed, focusing on getting all the claims assigned out, and making sure that we get all our reports on time.

What has been the most rewarding experience for you this past year?

I would say the way we have all pulled together as a family with what last year threw at us has been nothing short of amazing. Not only did we have COVID but we also dealt with back-to-back hurricanes (Laura and Delta) landing in the same area. Harnessing technology to deal with these situations and building our FPD family has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me.

My relationship with my work family has evolved to the point where we interact beyond just claims. We know what’s going on with each other’s lives, how their day has been, and crack jokes for a laugh. So I would say getting to build a deeper bond with my work family has been truly rewarding.

What is your favorite part about Field Pros Direct?

I know I’m repeating myself but the family culture that we have built at FPD is the best. All of us work hard, play hard, and have fun together. It’s amazing how everything flows so well with field adjusters, desk adjusters, reviewers, internal teams, and senior management. Everyone feels like family and that is not easy to find.

What was a big lesson you learned over the last year?

Last year taught me how to nail work-life balance and it has been amazing. I have two boys and I’ve been reflecting on how quickly time flies when you are raising kids. One day you’re chasing them across the kitchen, taking them to baseball games, watching them roll their eyes at you as teenagers, and you feel as if it will never end.

As I look back, I see my oldest graduating from the University of Illinois now going to graduate school and my other one graduating from high school and attending the University of Milwaukee in the fall being left with an empty nest. So those who are in the middle of such a process must enjoy the ride, savour every moment, and find their own work-life balance.

If you had to pick three words to define Field Pros Direct, what would they be?

For me, the first word would be ‘innovation’. We are always trying to harness technology to simplify older processes and create new ones that streamline our business, including our adjuster app (which has been a huge success).

Even when it comes to communication, we were innovative in the way we used Slack during CAT season to answer field adjuster’s questions and shared them across so everyone could learn from them. Not to forget how we leverage technology to run reports and track milestones as well as managing tasks within our project management software has been very innovative.

The next two words would be ‘family’ and ‘culture’. I know I’m repeating myself here but it’s the truth. Despite being remote, FPD has truly been a family for me and for everyone who works here. When we first started, 4 years ago, it was me, Matt Anderson, Bonnie Winners, Danielle Manzo, Matt Cronican, and shortly afterward, Bentley Laytin. We didn’t have a customer service team or a reviewers team at that point. It has been pretty amazing to see how much we’ve grown in such a short amount of time. And the quality of people who have become a part of our family has been impeccable. Now with Bridgewater Group as our newest addition, I’d say kudos to Matt Anderson for bringing us all together.

What is something people might not know about you?

I think most people know this already but I love visiting flea markets. I also love refinishing furniture and decorating after getting inspired by  various HGTV shows. But something people may or may not know from my accent is the place where I am from. I never hear it myself when I talk to people but everyone says that I do say some words oddly, or have unusual phrases.

Those who are familiar with it can probably guess that I am from the Midwest. I currently live in Chicago, but I grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison ( go Badgers!). I’ve been in Chicago for the last 16 years but I’m a die-hard Badgers and Packers fan through and through.

My fiancee and I are always at odds with each other because he grew up in Chicago and is obviously a Bears fan whereas I grew up in Wisconsin, a true Packers fan. As you may know, Bears fans cannot stand Packers fans. So during football season, I’m always outnumbered when we go to watch a game with our friends. But it’s still fun.

What are some of the memorable DIY projects you’ve done?

One of the first projects that I did was an old record cabinet... It belonged to my mother. Andy, my fiancé, and I whitewashed it and that was our first attempt at refinishing furniture (pictured below). It now belongs in my office. After that, we got a couple of dressers. One is from the late 1800s and the other one is a bit more recent and is more like a chest. I’ve been working on it for a while now but looking forward to seeing it completed.

FPD 2nd Annual Virtual Adjuster Conference Recap

FPD 2nd Annual Virtual Adjuster Conference Recap

Another Virtual Conference completed! On April 26, 2021 Field Pros Direct kicked off our 2nd annual virtual conference to provide educational opportunities for adjusters. Last year, we had all intentions of hosting this in person, when COVID-19 caused us to pivot and pull together a virtual conference in just 5 weeks. With 2021 still bringing a lot of uncertainty to in-person events, we decided to continue with a virtual conference for the 2nd year in the row. Rest assured, we do plan on going back to in-person events in the future (with some virtual options as well).

What was new at the 2021 Adjuster Conference?

In an effort to honor our value of constantly improving, we knew that we needed to make this year even better than last year. Easier said than done in a virtual environment, but we did it! Here’s what was new:

Virtual Networking

Yes, virtual networking is a thing and this year we tried it out for the first time. Matt Anderson, FPD’s CEO, is a big advocate of networking in general as it helps get to know adjusters beyond their resume. It was something we knew we wanted to add this year and with the help of Ally Momot and the newest FPD team member, Jodi Cruz, we added two days of one-on-one networking sessions. Each adjuster was able to select a member of our management team to interview with and easily book a time online. We received great feedback and even deployed adjusters on an assignment already!

Educational Panel

This was like speed dating educational providers. Our goal was to create a one-stop-shop to showcase some of the educational resources available to adjusters, giving them one less thing to research. Each company shared a little about what they offer, recently added courses and even some exclusive discount codes for conference attendees: Our panel included:

Director’s Panel

As an adjuster, it’s always great to hear what you should do but it’s equally as important to know what not to do. With the help of our amazing Claims Directors, Bonnie Winters, Jeff Lee, Neil Atkins, and Matt Cronican, they shared common mistakes adjusters make with residential policy. Coming in at a 4.7 out of 5, we were beyond thrilled to hear that adjusters enjoyed it as much as our panel did!

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

CE Credits

This was a big win for us, as we weren’t able to get CE-accredited sessions last year due to the quick turnaround time on the conference. With the help of our educational partners, HAAG Education and SDII Global we offered 3 different CE-accredited sessions.

Session Highlights

On top of adding new features to this year’s Virtual Adjuster Conference, we also welcomed new Carrier Presenters and new content! Here are some highlights of our sessions:

  • Carrier Presentations: We partnered with some Carriers from our 2020 conference in addition to some new Carriers as well:

    • Lighthouse/Pharos: We welcomed back Erin Belk, Pharo’s Claim Manager to discuss new and existing policies and procedures adjusters should follow while handling Pharos or Lighthouse claims.

    • Boulder/ICAT: Another returning presenter, Randy Horden, Boulder’s Claim Manager, presented ICAT’s coverages in detail as well as what they expect from adjusters handling ICAT claims.

    • National Flood Services (NFS): Bob Butler, NFS’s Director of Claims, yet another familiar face to our conference, presented with Mary Anne Medina, FPD’s VP of Business Development, to discuss some high-level flood estimating methodology.

    • South Shore Insurance Underwriters (SSIU): Anne Norton, SSIU’s Claim Manager, joined us for the first time this year, in part thanks to our latest acquisition of Bridgewater Group. Anne’s presentation focused a lot on the values of SSIU and how they look to work with companies and adjusters who align with their mission to provide great service to their policyholders.

    • Velocity: Another new face this year, Meghan Fountain, Velocity’s Director of Claims, had a very interactive session that shared a lot of great insights on handling liability claims.

  • Corelogic Mobile Claims Overview: Leslie McLain, CoreLogic’s Client Training Professional, provided a fantastic live demo of Corelogic’s mobile claim platform. She went step-by-step through the claims process while highlighting some helpful tips on functionality adjusters may not have been aware of.

  • The Adjuster Playbook: After getting such great feedback from the NACA attendees on this presentation, we decided to bring a mini version to this year’s conference. Mary Anne Medina and Matt Cronican, Director of Customer Success, discussed new adjusting opportunities, resume tips and other ways for adjusters to stand out in the industry

  • Virtual Adjusting Overview: Virtual Adjusting continues to gain traction among Insurance Carriers and adjusters over the past year. We’ve also noticed that the definition of “virtual adjusting” varies in the marketplace. This is why Jeff Lee, FPD’s Director of Specialty Operations and Matt Cronican presented a high-level overview of Virtual Adjusting, with FPD’s Virtual Adjusting process in mind.

Educational Partners and Continuing Education

Both HAAG Education and SDII Global partnered with Field Pros Direct for this conference to provide CE courses to our adjusters for free! Based on the topics they’ve seen to be helpful to adjusters, they chose sessions that could provide 1 hour of CE credits each, while still making the course informative. Sessions included:

  • Flood Disaster - What to expect after to event, presented by Michael Schroerder from SDII Global

  • Roof Types, Materials and Systems - Damage identification and Code Issues, also presented by Michael Schroader from SDII Global

  • Unsealed Shingles presented by Jim Chaney from HAAG Education

Virtual Happy Hour

The happiest hour of the conference, aside from Matt Anderson’s presentation to kick-off the conference, was the virtual happy hour! Adjusters and FPD team members came together for a little friendly competition and more meet-and-greets. This year’s trivia was a mix of all catastrophe events and even some Disney references too (thanks to our avid Disney fan, Jodi Cruz). While we wish we could have met in person and even had more time to chat, it was great to see some new faces in addition to the adjusters who have worked with us before.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

That’s all folks!

To take from Meghan Fountain’s closing slide, “That’s all folks”. At 4.8 stars and 100% of the attendees who responded to our survey saying they would return again, we are thrilled with this year’s turnout. In our effort to not only improve ourselves, but empower others we are honored to be able to provide this great resource to our Field Pros! Until next year everyone...

Our Virtual Adjuster Conference is Back!

FPD_ACA_2021_Blog Cover Image 2.png

Our Virtual Adjuster Conference is Back!

After a successful virtual event last year, the Field Pros Direct Virtual Adjuster Conference is back again on April 26-30, 2021. In a non-COVID world, we would host our conferences in person to kick off CAT season with all of our Field Pros and Team members. Last year, we had to convert the entire conference to a virtual event due to COVID restrictions...and it was a hit!

Adjuster’s loved that they could join from their homes and not have to worry about travel. At this point in time, some of you probably want to get out and travel (if you haven’t already been). While we would love to see you in-person, Field Pros Direct decided to host another virtual event this year. Our hope is to aim for something a little different in 2022.

About the FPD Virtual Adjuster Conference

Our conferences are created to help empower our Field Pros and other adjusters by providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to go into hurricane season with confidence. During this 5-day event, we will bring together FPD leadership, Insurance Carriers, and Educational Companies to provide you with a wide range of valuable topics.

What’s New This Year?

This year we are excited to add some new features to our virtual conference.

  • CE Credits. This year we’ve partnered with HAAG Education and Sdii Engineering to bring you a series of CE accredited courses.

  • Networking. That’s right, virtual networking. Get a chance to interview with some of our team members to help you stand out from the crowd.

Who Should Attend?

While past events are generally reserved for Field Pros, last year we opened it up to all adjusters and recieved great feedback. To stay true to our mission to empower adjusters, we will continue to offer this conference to Field Pros and all other adjusters who are interested.

6 Reasons to Attend the 2021 Conference.

If you’re not sure whether you should attend or not, here are 6 reasons why you won’t want to miss out:

  1. It’s FREE (again)! We are excited to offer this event to all adjusters for free! No, really, it’s free.

  2. No travel is needed. You can join from literally anywhere you have Wifi or cell signal. That means your couch, your backyard, the beach - literally anywhere.

  3. Get a chance to stand out. It’s hard to stand out as an adjuster, which is why we’re offering virtual networking so you can tell the team why you are unlike other adjusters.

  4. Make your own schedule. 5-days seems like a lot, we know. You don’t have to attend all sessions. Pick the best sessions for your goals and add those to your calendar after you register.

  5. Get FPD Carrier Certifications.  When you complete an FPD Carrier Certification class, you get a certificate of completion. This certification is exclusive to FPD that helps increase your chances of getting assignments through that specific FPD Carrier.

  6. CE Credits. If you’re due for a license renewal, this is a great opportunity to earn CE credits at no cost to you, just your time.

How Can I Claim My Free Conference Ticket?
